Paul Hodson - professor e geólogo

General:
Paul is a native British English speaker. He holds a degree in Geography and a Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA) from Cambridge University. Paul has a working background based in the British Civil Service and specialises in fluency development using many interactive techniques.

Skills Summary
Recently gained a CELTA qualification. Main strengths are: Ability to build a friendly rapport with students of varying ages and socio economic backgrounds. Original and personalised adaptation of text book exercises / tasks. Imaginative and well presented handouts. Produces detailed lesson plans that can be easily followed and used repeatedly for different sets of students. Makes full use of teaching aids and equipment including, OHP, smartboard, video / dvd, whiteboard and realea. Is culturally sensitive towards all students.

Interests and Hobbies
Outside of studying and work I maintain a keen interest in rugby, having continued from university into club level. I have just completed a course and successfully qualified for a CELTA certificate to enable me to teach English as a foreign language. I have a passion for photography and travelling, having lived in Rio for many months. I have also attended a number of Portuguese lessons at a local school, but this was at a very basic level.
